QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Question

Why should I hire a Buttons and Bows for my wedding or event, when my venue says they have a coordinator available that is included in my package?

Answer

You hire a wedding planner to protect your interest and to do your wishes.  a venue planner interest is the venue.  Buttons and Bows coordinator will be there from the beginning of your day to insure your party, and family is being taken care of, and the venue is being decorated to  your specifications and not the venues.

The majority of venue planners will leave after the major festivities are over and they leave their staff to finish the cleanup...leaving you, your guest, and vendors vulnerable to any mishaps that may come about.  Buttons and Bows staff stays until your very last guest leave and ensures that you your guest have been taken care of, your personal items and anything left behind is put in safe keeping , and to make sure the venue is secure to insure you get your security deposit back.

Question

There are many books and online program downloads that can help me plan my wedding.  How can Buttons and Bows do anything different?

Answer

True, with today's technology, you can go to any online bridal site and download information on how to plan you own wedding, however, is that really the help you were looking for? Or, would you rather have someone that is experienced and has actually worked with some of the vendors and venues you are looking up.  Would our expertise, benefit you any?  The answer to that question is yes.  Buttons and Bows experience coordinator can give you recommendation on the vendor and venues that will fit and work within your budget.  We would be available to answer your questions and calm and concerns you may be having with a quick phone call.

Question

I'm organized, why couldn't I just take care of my rehearsal and wedding day myself, or have my family member or friends do it?

Answer

Sure you are super organized and have planned every detail or your day..and you have tons of friends and relatives' who've promised to help.  However, having a professional run the rehearsal and wedding day could mean the difference of an event that feels polished and inviting or a event that feels disorganized and chaotic, because you wouldn't have one person taking care of everything, but many. Or you may not have anyone.  Buttons and Bows will oversee your entire wedding, by greeting your guest apon arrival to your ceremony and reception.  We take care of the flow of the day, keeping everything on track so you can enjoy the day without wondering if everything is ok.  Keeping overtime fees under control.

Question

Can you work within my budget?

Answer

In most cases YES! I Can!  I have had brides and clients that had not known what they can spend, or on a DYI budget.  I always find a economical ways of giving my brides and clients what they want, while staying within a budget.  One way may be finding a more economical way of putting together centerpieces, or table settings...or finding a vendor that is really exceptional at what they do, however, may charge a little less for their services.  IF THERE IS A WILL THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY!!!

Answer

Yes, depending on where your rehearsal and wedding venues are, it may be necessary to do so, to insure that my assistance and I are well rested from the rehearsal the night before, to getting up bright and early to start setting up for your day.

If they are necessary, the charges are separate and not included in the base price. However, before you sign our contract I will include it if required in the proposal total.  and it will be explained in the breakdown of your fee.

Question

Is setup and tear down part of my price you quoted me or part of the base price?

Answer

Because of the amount of time and work goes into setting table and chairs up and decorating a venue.  Sometimes we have to schedule for additional personnel to help with setting up and tearing down.  It is necessary to price this separately, and not include it in the base price.  However, before you sign our contract, if required, I will included the fee in the proposal total, and it will be explained in the breakdown of your fee section of the proposal.
